Scooters have become very popular and everyone wats to go faster. So we will be talking about all kinds of upgrades to do just that .Most upgrades will give more power and take off. To get more speed you must do more to the scooter.  You can do a  big bore kit which is a  new cylinder , piston and head that are larger size displacement all the way up to 85cc on the 50cc models and 180cc on the 150 scooters.

You can do the transmission which would help in take off and hill climbing. This is done with replacement of  the variator , roller weights , clutch , clutch bell , clutch springs , compression spring and kevlar belt. You can do some or all of the above in the trans and every add-on will bring the scooter up a little more in power and pickup

These kits are very easy to install with a minimum amount of tools . The trans work is easier if you have an impact wrench and most work is done with 8mm , 10mm, and  12mm socket aside from some larger sockets for variator and clutch nuts which range from 17mm to 24mm depending on scooter.

I will be back to give some more detail on these and many other upgrades that are avalable as there are many.

    I have a 2006 TGB Key West.
    -70cc kit
    -19mm carb
    -performance air filter
    -new stronger spark plug
    -custom exhaust
….it turns on and idles perfect, it even revs out nice but once i get on, it has no power. Do you know why this is happening? Could it be my exhaust?

Yes it could be the Exhaust. Also is the piston in the right way if it was put in backwards it will start but have no power. The arrow on the piston should face the exhaust port. Let me know. What exhaust are you using?
