Tommy Thunder’s 2000 Zuma

50cc Yamaha Zuma converted into one bad racing scooter.

It all started out in Mass. at Red Streak Motors. We were there last year on business when I came across this scooter. We paid $500 for it in great shape. We loaded it up with us and took it back to our shop at Scootertronics and the transformation began.

  • Polini 70cc Aluminum cylinder kit w/single ring piston
  • SRC Custom  Big Intake/Reeds
  • OKO 24mm carburetor
  • Polini Race 3 exhaust system
  • Molossi no rev racing CDI
  • Polini two shoe racing clutch and bell
  • Polini racing variator
  • Polini final drive gears
  • Kevlar belt
  • Doctor Pulley slider weights
  • SRC fuel catch can
  • NCY cnc machined handle bar mount
  • Z Bar handle bars
  • NCY throttle body
  • Custom brake perch
  • ZTR torque spring

The cylinder and pipe were first and ran that way last year. This year we added carb , cdi , z bars and afew other things.

The polini transmission parts just went in the scoot and will be racing this Oct. 24th so we will see how it does now . It was already fast and unbeatable. Next step are some custom shocks from YSS.
